Project Management and Quantity Surveying
Bast House Farm is a development of 7 high-end dwellings situated in the beautiful countryside outside Ramsbottom, Manchester. 44 Consult provided project management, quantity surveying and contract administration from inception to completion
The project completely renovated and converted this disused site of agricultural buildings and existing properties to create a new enclave of stunning 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom stone houses and apartments, all to achieve structural warranties, modern environmental and regulatory standards and exquisite finishing details. We managed the installation of all new services to this remote site. The buildings feature air-source heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage, sprinkler systems and EV change points, as well as replacing lost habitats and installing biodiversity measures. Every part of the construction and finishing was considered and collaborated on with our Client and the strong delivery team we assembled
The scheme required relentless, intricate and detailed cost and programme management throughout to achieve a profitable and workable solution. We undertook cost planning, change management and value engineering exercises at every step of the way, dealt with various site issues due to the nature of the buildings and worked hard to maintain a great balance to benefit all parties
